I also have the Arturia instruments, and yes they integrate nicely in the Maschine browser since they're in the new Komplete Kontrol compatible format. Sorry if it sounds like I'm hijacking the thread, but you make a good point and the whole factory vs. Why even have a bank indicator (the Maschine rectangle) there if it can't be changed."Īlong these lines, I'm also wondering if I'm missing something. "I can select edit in the browser and change attributes including manufacturer but the bank is unchangeable. If I'm missing something, please tell me. This seems like a big hole in the browser implementation, at least to me. The only sounds that show up with any indication of library source are from Maschine packs and they show up in factory, not user. Really this is true of all the NI Synths too. However if I have an instrument in the first slot, it would be cool if Maschine just recognized that first slot and assigned a bank just like in the instruments tab. Certainly, if you introduce an effects chain to the sound, that could complicate matters tag-wise. If for instance I save a tweaked Arturia ARP2600 sound, why won't I see the ARP2600 bank icon like I do in the instruments tab? I can save instruments as instruments but not a sound with macros. Why even have a bank indicator (the Maschine rectangle) there if it can't be changed. I can select edit in the browser and change attributes including manufacturer but the bank is unchangeable. Why is there only the Maschine bank under the sounds tab? If I bring in a synth, setup some macros and save the sound, regardless of the synth, it always winds up in that one Maschine bank.
